Food Constitution
Within the House, plant-based living is not a dietary preference. It is a disciplined framework for living well.
Whole-food plant-based
Our standards are informed by the scientific teachings of Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn Jr., whose research has illuminated the role of plant-based nutrition in preventing and addressing chronic disease.
Natural integrity preserved
All food must prioritize whole, minimally processed plant foods: fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds, natural herbs and spices. Ingredients should remain as close to their natural state as possible.
No added oils of any kind
ST. MARIE & CO. maintains a strict zero-oil doctrine. No added oils may be used in any House product, culinary experience, or educational demonstration. This includes olive oil, coconut oil, and all extracted oils without exception.
Every ingredient, traceable
Single-origin is not a feature — it is a foundation. Every ingredient begins with a single, defined origin, chosen for its purity, integrity, and natural excellence. Nothing is obscured. Nothing is diluted for convenience.
The House rejects excessive processing and artificial manipulation of food.
The authority to alter, amend, or interpret the House Food Constitution resides exclusively with the Chairman of the Board and the Vice President of House Research. These standards are not guidelines or preferences — they are permanent principles.
